Dr. Wallwork: Your Woodruff, SC dentist

Dr. Wallwork grew up in a small town outside of Erie, Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from The Pennsylvania State University. He remains a die-hard Nittany Lion fan to this day!

After leaving Penn State, Dr. Wallwork received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia. Upon graduation from Dental School, Dr. Wallwork served as an Active Duty Dentist in the United States Army for 5 years. His Army Career Started at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina where he completed a 1-year AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) residency. It was during his residency year when Dr. Wallwork and his wife, Christina, decided that they wanted to put down roots and start a family in South Carolina after his Army career came to its end.

Upon leaving Ft. Jackson, Dr. Wallwork reported to Ft. Polk, Louisiana where he served for 3 years as the Brigade Dental Surgeon for the 3rd Infantry Brigade, 10th Mountain Division. In his 4th and final year at Ft. Polk, Dr. Wallwork worked as a General Dentist for the Ft. Polk DENTAC where he served as the Cerec (CAD/CAM) officer and Infection Control Officer for Shira Dental Clinic.

In his free time, Dr. Wallwork enjoys visiting family and friends, exercising, golfing, watching college football, spending time with his wife and their 4-year-old Goldendoodle (Frankie), and pretty much anything else that gets him outdoors or on the water. He is very excited to join the ProGrin team and cannot wait to help his patients achieve the smiles that they have always wanted!

Dr. Buck: Your Woodruff, SC dentist

Dr. Buck brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for dentistry to our practice. Born and raised in the lowcountry area of South Carolina, Dr. Buck’s journey in the field of dentistry began with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of South Carolina, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019.

Dr. Buck completed his dental training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, earning his degree in May of 2023. Throughout his time at the College of Dental Medicine, he consistently demonstrated exceptional academic and clinical skills, receiving awards such as the Dr. Joseph Cleveland Award, Hinman Dental Scholar Award, and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Student Award of Merit.

Recognized for his outstanding scholarship and character, Dr. Buck was inducted into the prestigious national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a testament to his commitment to excellence. Graduating at the top of his class, he received The Huynh/Huynh-Le Top Honor Graduate Award for achieving the highest grade point average (GPA).

In 2024, Dr. Buck brought his expertise to Greenville, SC, joining our team at the Woodruff office. As a dedicated member of the Greenville County Dental Society, he stays at the forefront of dental advancements through continuous education with institutions like Spear Education, CDOCS, and The Engel Institute in Charlotte, NC. He recently became a member of the Academy of Osseointegration.

Beyond the realm of dentistry, Dr. Buck is an avid outdoors enthusiast. Whether fishing, boating, or cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks, he loves to spend his time in nature. Driven by a love for family, friends, and exploration, he balances his professional commitment with a rich personal life filled with travel and cherished moments.

Dr. Buck takes immense pleasure in practicing general dentistry, finding fulfillment in helping patients restore confidence in their smiles. His dedication to keeping up with the latest research and literature ensures that our patients at the Woodruff office receive the highest standard of care in a warm and welcoming environment.

Mary Chase, Office Manager

Mary Chase was born and raised in Clemson and moved to Woodruff in January 2021 when she got married to her husband, Clay. She graduated in 2020 with a degree in Surgical Technology. She loves working out and spending time with all 3 of her furbabies Robin and Dotti.

Gena, Dental Hygienist

Gena is originally from the Enoree, Woodruff area. She is proud to call Enoree her home and has many friends and family that come through the office… when we say many, we mean MANY. If Gena ever left and took her following away from ProGrin, we would be out of business! She is well-known and well-loved! She is a delightful, hilarious team member and a friend to all. Gena has two wonderful daughters with her husband Nick and loves spending time with her family when she is not working at ProGrin.

Amanda, Dental Hygienist

Amanda loves being a dental hygienist and has worked in dentistry for over 20 years. She grew up in Kings Mountain, NC, but now she calls Enoree her home. Amanda is married and has 3 children. She loves our community and the perks that come with living in a small town. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, but her heart and soul is serving in the ministry with her husband.

Bonnie, Dental Assistant

Bonnie is a Woodruff native. She makes some of the best food in town and is constantly eager to share her recipes with her ProGrin family. She is the second longest-standing member of the ProGrin team, and the Ayers’ family have loved every minute of working with her.

Taylor, Dental Hygienist

Taylor was born and raised in Woodruff. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Ryan. She enjoys spending time with her family and cutting up with her coworkers at ProGrin. Even though she’s a true southern belle, she hates sweet tea. A fun fact about Taylor is that she is also a certified teacher.
